Element Bass is the ultimate all-in-one solution for Bass guitar. Whether you are a bass player looking for the ultimate tone or a mixing engineer trying to make the bass fit perfectly in the mix, Element Bass has you covered.
Element Bass defining feature is the ability to easily have up to 3 different chains that can be mixed in parallel to each other. A common technique used by the best producers and mixing engineers in around the world. But requiring duplicating multiple tracks and many plugins per track.
Element Bass lets you do all of it and more in just ONE plugin.
Multi-Stage Bass
Element Bass lets you have up to three complete bass channels in parallel. Allowing you to have ultimate control and flexibility in achieving the perfect bass tone for your needs. Get controlled low end, mid-range growl and hi-end bite without compromising any.
Preamp Selection
In the plugin, you will find up to 3 different preamps to choose from and use in any of the 3 channels. Each with their own set of unique parameters and settings.
- Clean – This is your Bass tone directly from your Bass guitar.
- Vintage – This is modeled in part after the Sans Amp and Darkglass B7K Ultra.
- Modern – This is modeled after the Darkglass Alpha Omega 900.
Parametric Equalizer
A huge part of tone shaping is EQ. But we felt being stuck with one global EQ was too limiting in workflow and outcome.
In Element Bass, each channel has its own full-fledged Parametric EQ color code for each channel.
IR Loader
The Cab IR loader in Element Bass is not global. Meaning each channel can have its own Cab IR. Letting you pick the perfect IR for that particular channel.
Element Bass comes with a choice selection of IRs created specifically to give you a wide range of tones and sounds to work with.
But if you would instead like to use your own IRs, you can do that too. That being said, just because you CAN load an IR, doesn’t always mean you need to.
Bass Limiter
The master output section of Element Bass also includes a limiter at the end of the signal chain. This allows you to further control the bass peaks and dynamics if the compression settings were not enough. It also acts like a glue when you have more than 1 bass channel in parallel.
The 3D Knob
If there was ever, ONE knob you could turn to make your bass sit in the mix better. This is it.
3D is a stereo modulation effect modeled and inspired by mixing legend Andy Wallace. If you have a hard time getting your bass cut through the mix without stepping over everything else. It’s likely this one knob will do the trick.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I want more than 1 channel for my bass?
No doubt, you can get good results using just channel/preamp. But you are always going to sacrifice your low end doing so. If you split your bass signal chain into at least too, low end and mid/highs. You can then get all the tone and distortion you want in your sound while keeping the driving low end clear and punchy.
Whats the "Bug" button for?
In case you run into any issues with Element Bass, we wanted to make it as easy as possible to let us know in order to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. If, for whatever reason, you can send us your issue with it, you can always submit a support ticket on the site via your account.
Do I need an iLok account or Dongle?
NO! When you buy Element Bass, all you have to do when you open the plugin for the first time is login to your account and activate. That’s it. Simple and easy.
Will this work in my DAW?
Element Bass will work in any DAW that supports the ability to load a VST3, AU currently.
AAX (Pro Tools) plugin format on both Mac and Windows is currently going through final testing and is expected to release in the next week or so (early December)
