Overview

Extinction Level Event Drums is one of the most natural and realistic drum libraries on the market. We meticulously sampled each aspect of our drums so that you have the most musical, dynamic layers possible.

We developed a custom mixing panel right into ELE where you can control drum bleed, microphone levels, and even bring in your own one-shot sample right into the instrument.

We also spent a LONG time creating amazing presets for you to use that’ll fit right into your songs… the mixing panel includes all of the EQ and post-processing tools you need if you want to tweak and create your own sounds.

There is also a fully functional MIDI Groove Player inside of ELE. You can select the perfect groove for your music right within ELE and drag it into your DAW–without needing to program a single drum hit.

ELE runs in the Free Kontakt Player and is fully integrated with NKS. You don’t need to buy anything extra to get earth-shattering drums!

ELE also makes MIDI-remapping a breeze, so if you prefer to play on an electronic drum kit or just want to change the notes for your drum map, it’s only a matter of a few clicks.

Unparalleled Realism

ELE brings realism to a whole new level. No other drum library allows you to have full drum kit bleed on ALL mics.

What does full drum kit bleed mean?

For example, other virtual drum libraries out there do NOT give you the audio of snare or kick hits that “bleed” or are picked up into all the other mics on the kit, like the Toms or HiHat mics. They do this to significantly cut down on the size of the sample library and also to make it easier to run on older computers.

But just think about it for a minute. That’s not how real drums get recorded and mixed when you do it for real at a studio. This is a big part of why people sometimes say programmed drums don’t sound real. The Mic Bleed that would naturally be there is missing. And we give you full control to add as much or as little of it as you want on the entire kit.

On top of this, ELE has a ridiculous number of dynamic layers, which means your ghost notes and rimshots will actually bring dynamic qualities into your music. Also, so many round robins that make even the fastest drum parts sound natural and varied.

Tons of musical articulations that are useful so that you can create realistic hi-hat patterns, snare rudiments, and more.

ELE allows for any style of music, from the softest dynamics found in fusion to absolute shotgun rimshots that you’ll need for heavy metal breakdowns.

Comprehensive Built-In Mixer

One of the things that can be annoying is having to open up many plugins in various tracks when working with drums. We made it so that ELE is its own, complete package. You can change every aspect of the drum tone right within ELE itself.
With our new built-in mixer, you have everything you need:

Saturation
1176-Style compression
Transient designer
ADSR controls
Two reverb sends (Non-Linear or Plate)

Don’t forget that you can also load up a one-shot sample to help beef up your drums… right within the built-in mixer. You don’t need any other drum plugin.. It’s all right in ELE.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a demo version I can try?

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to offer a demo version of Extinction Level Event Drums. This is a limitation by Native Instruments and Kontakt as a platform, at least currently.

Are updates to Extinction Level Event free?

Yes. It doesn’t matter when you buy ELE–you’ll always get free updates to the latest version. From the smallest bug fix to the biggest feature addition, you’ll be able to get updates for free and enjoy the latest and greatest version of ELE forever.

I'm not great at programming drums. How can I get the most out of ELE?

We offer a few courses over at Spectre Academy that teach you everything you need to know about making the best possible programmed drums. We highly recommend any of our drum programming courses if you want the best possible sounding drums. We even have special discounts on select courses for those who grab a copy of ELE :).

Do I need the full version of Kontakt?

No. Extinction Level Event can be used with the Kontakt Player without any loss of functionality. You do not need the full version of Kontakt! You can download it from within Native Access when you install ELE.

Will this work in my DAW?

Extinction Level Event will work in any DAW that supports the Kontakt Player. This means that if you can load a VST, VST3, AU, or AAX plugin format into your DAW – then you can use the Kontakt Player and as such, Extinction Level Event.

I bought Extinction Level Event. How do I download and Install it?

After you complete your order we will send you a license key. The download and installation are all handled via Native Access which you can download here. Once you are in Native Access, just add your key, and away you go.

What are TCI files?

TCI files are designed specifically for use within Steven Slate Trigger 2.0. They provide an easy way to accurately replace or augment existing drum tracks with accurate dynamics. So if you happen to have Trigger 2 and you want to use ELE on an existing drum performance, we have you covered! Once you complete your order, you will find them waiting for you in your account under “My Downloads.”
